Former Acting Director of Testing and Certification, U.S. Election Assistance Commission
Ryan Macias is an election technology and cybersecurity expert and former acting director of the testing and certification program with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. He also served as the election technology analyst for the California Secretary of State for 10 years.
Macias is the owner of RSM Elections Solutions, a company he founded that consults on election technology, security, and administration to election officials across the U.S. and election management bodies abroad. Macias was also previously an election security subject-matter expert consultant to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) where he advised thousands of election stakeholders on strategies and methods for building resilience in the election infrastructure, technology, and processes.
Macias has served as an expert witness and consultant in multiple election-related litigation, including lawsuits related to the false claims stemming from the 2020 Presidential Election.
